Bone Marrow Soup

Someone say hearty comfort food? Here is the perfect dish for a cold winters evening.

This rich bone marrow soup will warm you right up.

Serves 2


1 Tbsp salt

1 Tbsp. turmeric

1 Tbsp paprika

1 Tbsp barbeque spice

2 Tbsp olive oil

½ Tbsp chopped garlic

1 Sprig of rosemary

1/2 Green pepper finely chopped

1 Red onion (you can also use brown onion)

2 Large carrots

2 Cups beef stock

300g Bone marrows

Ciabatta or any bread of choice for your side for serving


Heat the olive oil in a saucepan and fry the onion and garlic until translucent.

Add the bones, seasoning and paprika and salt. Fry for 5 minutes, then remove the bones and set aside.

Add the chicken stock and return the bones to the pan and season with your spices.

Cook for 40-45 min or until carrots are cooked to your perfection and add more stock if necessary.

Serve with fresh bread and add thyme for garnishing.
